In late 2002 the location office region freiburg was establihed to strengthen the media in the Freiburg region.

Sponsors for the regional advisory service which assist the film industry and film makers from all branches are the City of Freiburg through it's affliate Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe GmbH & Co.KG (FWTM) and the Medien- und Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg (MFG).

1th of July 2005 a new partnership was established with the Wirtschaftsförderung Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg beeing responsible for the region Blackforest-Baar and the administrative districts Tuttlingen and Rottweil.
